## The brief

Pure Prakriti grinds single herbs on stone (amla, reetha, shikakai, bhringraj, hibiscus, methi) and sells them on Amazon.in. They arrived with a monsoon concept that was already lovely: rain running down glass, herbs turning in the light, a stone grinder, a 45-minute hair ritual.

As a design, it worked. As a shop, it could not go live. The checkout asked for card and UPI details it could never process, the reviews were placeholders, and an intro animation made every visitor wait before they saw a single herb. The job was to keep the feeling and make every part of it true.

## What we made

A storefront ready for real customers. Every frame of the art stayed. Everything that was not real went.

- A scroll story with live rain, a hero and a stone-grinding sequence that play as you scroll (with portrait frames cut for phones), herb tabs, and a ritual timer that works.
- The whole range: a carousel, a catalogue and seven product pages, each with its own address, search description and sitemap entry.
- Buy buttons that go straight to the right Amazon listing. No pretend checkout, no pretend orders. The cart lives on the visitor's phone, and the page tells them so.
- Three real Amazon reviews, quoted with dates and attribution (4.5 stars from 21 ratings when we checked).
- Structured data for products, offers, breadcrumbs and the organisation, plus an llms.txt and an AI catalogue, so ChatGPT and other assistants describe the range correctly.
- The domain moved from Hostinger to Cloudflare, with HTTPS on both the bare domain and www.

## The hard part

Motion this heavy usually costs a 3 MB homepage, which is a long wait on a budget Android phone over patchy 4G. The original build loaded entire decoded image atlases before anything moved. We cut them into frames that load only when the story reaches them, and held back scroll pinning until the first scroll. The opening download fell from 2.78 MB to 460 KB, about 83 percent lighter, without dropping a single frame. The one visible trade is a slightly softer glass texture, and we wrote it down.
