Act 01Brand

Business and product naming, with taglines Indian customers can say and remember

Brand Bakery names Indian businesses, products and projects: a new company, a housing project, a coaching programme, a product line for Amazon. You get a naming brief, a long list cut to a shortlist, checks on pronunciation, meaning, domains and social handles, a tagline and a written rationale. Trademark clearance stays with your attorney. Pricing is shared after a short call.

Act 02Is it for you?

Who this is for

Made for

  • Founders naming a new company or a new division
  • Real estate developers naming a project, and coaching institutes naming a programme or a centre
  • Online and IndiaMART sellers creating their own brand for a product line
  • Businesses whose current name is hard to spell, easy to confuse or already taken online

Not the right fit

  • Anyone who needs legal trademark clearance, which only a trademark attorney can give
  • Teams wanting a hundred random names with no reasoning behind them
  • Projects where a large committee must agree on a name in one afternoon

Act 03Deliverables

What you get

Written into the scope before we start, so nothing is a surprise at handover.

  1. A naming brief: who the name is for, what it must suggest and what it must avoid
  2. A long list of candidates across a few clear naming directions
  3. A shortlist, each name tested aloud in Hindi and English, spelled over a phone call and checked for unwanted meanings
  4. Domain and social handle checks for every shortlisted name
  5. A first screen for obvious clashes in your category, ahead of your attorney's full search
  6. A tagline for the chosen name, with a few alternatives
  7. A written rationale you can share with partners, investors or family

Act 04Process and timeline

How it rises

  1. Brief

We agree what the name has to do, who will say it and where it will appear, from a hoarding to a WhatsApp forward.

  2. Explore

We write widely across directions, such as descriptive, invented and borrowed words, before narrowing down.

  3. Test

Each shortlisted name is said aloud, spelled over the phone, typed into a search bar and checked for domains and handles.

  4. Choose

You see the shortlist with reasons, react to it, and we refine until one name clearly wins.

  5. Hand over

You get the final name, the tagline and the rationale, ready for your trademark attorney and your designer.

How long it takes

Naming depends mostly on how quickly decisions are made. Dates for each round are agreed in writing before work starts.

Pricing

On request, shared after a short call

Trademark searches and filing, domain purchases and logo design are separate. We screen for obvious conflicts, but only a trademark attorney can clear a name legally.

Act 06Questions

Asked often

Straight answers. If yours is not here, ask it on the enquiry form.

Do you check whether the name is available?

For every shortlisted name we check domains, social handles and obvious clashes in your category. A full legal trademark search needs a trademark attorney, and we give them the shortlist and the rationale to work from.

Can you name a real estate project or a course?

Yes. Project, course and product names follow the same process, with extra care for how the name looks on a hoarding, reads in an ad and sounds when a salesperson says it on a call.

Will the name work in Hindi and English?

We test every shortlisted name for how it sounds and what it means in Hindi and English, and in other languages your customers use if you tell us. A name that sounds wrong in one of them is dropped.

Do you write taglines on their own?

Yes. If you already have a name you like, we write the tagline and the core line that sits under it, using the same brief and the same testing.

What if we do not like any of the names?

The brief and the number of shortlist rounds are written into the scope. We use your reactions to sharpen the direction, because a strong no tells us as much as a yes.

How much does naming cost?

Pricing is shared after a short call. The cost depends on whether you need a company, product or project name and how many rounds are included, and it is fixed in writing first.
