Act 01Brand

Brand strategy and positioning for Indian founders who sound like everyone else

Brand Bakery helps Indian founders and small businesses decide who they serve, why customers should pick them and how to say it. You get customer interviews, a competitor review, a positioning statement, core messages and a tone of voice, written into a short brand platform your team can use daily. Pricing is shared after a short call.

Construction: the mark, drawn on its grid

Act 02Is it for you?

Who this is for

Made for

  • Founders who can explain the product but not why anyone should choose it
  • Businesses that sound like every other consultancy, institute or D2C brand in their category
  • Teams about to redesign a website or logo without a clear position first
  • Owners whose offer has changed while the message stayed the same

Not the right fit

  • Anyone who only wants a logo, which is a logo design project
  • Teams expecting a strategy document to guarantee sales
  • Projects with no one available to make decisions

Act 03Deliverables

What you get

Written into the scope before we start, so nothing is a surprise at handover.

  1. Interviews with you and, where possible, a few of your customers
  2. A review of your category and the competitors customers compare you with
  3. A positioning statement: who you serve, what you do and why you
  4. Core messages and the proof behind each one
  5. Tone of voice, with examples of how to say it and how not to
  6. A short brand platform document your team and suppliers can use
  7. A plain-language list of what to change first

Act 04Process and timeline

How it rises

  1. Listen

We start with what you know about your customers and what they already say about you.

  2. Look around

We study how others in your category present themselves and find the space nobody owns.

  3. Position

We draft a position and test it with you, and with real customers where we can.

  4. Write it down

The decision becomes messages, a tone of voice and a short document anyone can follow.

  5. Put it to work

We show what the position changes on your website, in sales calls and in your social posts.

How long it takes

Timelines depend on how many people we speak to and how fast decisions are made, and are agreed in writing before work starts.

Act 05Concept demo

What it looks like

A staged brand strategy and positioning project for an invented brand, so you can see the kind of work before you brief us.

Concept demo

Tulsi & Tide, ayurvedic skincare from Goa

A D2C skincare brand in a crowded category: decide who it is for, what it stands for and how it sounds, before any design.

01 / 02The strategy on one page: audience, positioning, proof and tone of voice

A concept we made to show the work, for a brand that does not exist. Client work is under Examples.

Tulsi & Tide strategy slide with sections for the audience, the positioning line "Ayurveda you can check", three proof points and three tone words

Act 07Questions

Asked often

Straight answers. If yours is not here, ask it on the enquiry form.

Do I need brand strategy before a logo or website?

It helps a lot. A clear position tells the designer and the copywriter what to emphasise, which saves rounds of revision and money later.

What will I actually receive?

A short brand platform document: positioning, core messages, proof points and tone of voice, in plain language your team can use the same week.

How is this different from a branding agency pitch deck?

It is written for your team to use every day, in short and specific language. Nobody has to decode it, and it fits on a few pages.

Will you talk to my customers?

Where you can introduce us, yes. Customers explain better than anyone why they chose you, and they often use words you would never think of.

Can you do this for a startup that has few customers?

Yes. For an early startup we work more from the founder's vision and the problem being solved, then test the position as the first customers arrive.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is shared after a short call.
