Construction: the mark, drawn on its grid

Act 02Is it for you?

Who this is for

Made for

  • D2C brands launching a product or a range on their own site, Amazon or Flipkart
  • IndiaMART and wholesale sellers moving from plain packs to their own brand
  • Food, personal care and home products that need clear labels customers trust
  • Brands whose packs look different every time a new printer or designer touches them

Not the right fit

  • Regulatory approval or legal sign-off on label claims, which your compliance adviser gives
  • Structural engineering for complex or rigid packs, which your packaging supplier leads
  • Brands with no logo or identity yet, which starts with identity work

Act 03Deliverables

What you get

Written into the scope before we start, so nothing is a surprise at handover.

  1. A review of how your category looks on the shelf and on marketplace search pages
  2. A packaging brief: what the pack must say first, second and third
  3. Front and back design for each pack or label in scope
  4. Mandatory details laid out clearly, using the text and numbers you or your adviser supply
  5. Print-ready files built on your printer's dieline, with colour and finish notes
  6. Flat and mock-up images for your website and marketplace listings
  7. Simple rules so new flavours, sizes and variants stay consistent
  8. Organised source files you own

Act 04Process and timeline

How it rises

  1. Look at the shelf

We study how your category appears in a store and in a marketplace search result, where the pack is the size of a thumbnail.

  2. Set the hierarchy

We decide what a shopper must read in two seconds and what can wait for the back of the pack.

  3. Design and mock up

You see the design on realistic mock-ups and at thumbnail size before anything goes to print.

  4. Prepare for print

We build files on your printer's dieline and check the details you supplied, line by line, with you.

  5. Extend the range

Rules for colours, variants and sizes mean the next product looks like it belongs to the family.

How long it takes

Timelines depend on the number of packs and variants and on your printer's requirements. Dates are agreed in writing before work starts.

Act 05Concept demo

What it looks like

A staged packaging and label design project for an invented brand, so you can see the kind of work before you brief us.

Concept demo

Kettle Theory, a modern chai café

Take the chai café identity onto everything a customer carries home, so a pouch on a shelf and a cup in a hand read as the same brand.

01 / 01The range on pack: loose-leaf pouch, tin, cup, kulhad, menu and tote

A concept we made to show the work, for a brand that does not exist. Client work is under Examples.

Act 07Questions

Asked often

Straight answers. If yours is not here, ask it on the enquiry form.

Do you design for Amazon and Flipkart as well as shelves?

Yes. Most packs are now seen first as a small image on a phone. We check every design at thumbnail size and supply flat and mock-up images for your listings, alongside the print files.

Will you make sure the label is legally compliant?

We lay out the mandatory details clearly, using the text you or your compliance adviser supply, and flag anything that looks missing. Legal and regulatory sign-off on label claims stays with your adviser.

Do you work with our printer?

Yes. We build the files on your printer's dieline, follow their colour and bleed requirements, and answer their questions directly, so the first proof is close to right.

Can you put a QR code on the pack?

Yes. A tagged QR code can open your website, a WhatsApp chat or a reorder page, and the tag shows how many people scanned it. Our free QR and campaign tools show how it works.

Can you design a whole range?

Yes. We set rules for colour, type and layout so new flavours, sizes and variants slot in without starting from scratch each time.

How much does packaging design cost?

Pricing is shared after a short call. The cost depends on the number of packs, labels and variants, and it is fixed in writing before we start.
