Act 04Mino Bowls case study
A finished design, now with a real checkout
A Delhi bowl-kit brand had a finished design and no way to take an order. We put it on Shopify's headless stack, with a checkout nobody can tamper with.

01
The brief
Mino Bowls sells pre-portioned dry bowl kits made from pantry staples, cooked at home from a recipe card. Five bowls (protein, fibre, energy, satiety, balanced) at ₹101 to ₹182 a pack, plus four flavour kits.
The design, imagery, nutrition calculator and animation were done, and so were the rules: 10, 15 and 20 percent off at 10, 15 and 20 packs, only the best discount applies, a ₹500 minimum, free delivery in India. The job was to make it sell without redesigning a pixel.
02
What we made
The v4 design running inside Shopify Hydrogen exactly as it was drawn, with real Shopify checkout behind it.
The ingredient builder kept as a "coming soon" playground, so nobody can buy a recipe the brand has not approved.
Legal pages, branded share previews and a 64-frame hero animation.
A redirect theme on the old Shopify domain, so the old store address lands on the new one.
A GitHub pipeline that runs the tests, then deploys a public site and a private preview.

The hard part
Anything a browser sends can be edited, so the checkout trusts none of it. The server accepts only a bowl and a quantity, picks the approved product itself, then re-checks availability, price, currency, subtotal and discount against Shopify before it hands back a checkout link. Edited prices, unknown products and custom recipes are turned away. We also switched off old carts and the original design's sample order-confirmation screens, so no customer ever sees an order that does not exist.
